Set four years after the events in Abello, the story follows Link as he tries to build a peaceful life in a new land called Finlay. But, as is tradition for the Hero of Time, peace is short-lived. Strange worshippers of Majora and bizarre mysteries — including the curious case of “Jabu milk” — draw Link back into a world of adventure.
Rather than simply retreading old ground, Time Lost expands the world with fresh lore, deeper mythology, and an eerie, offbeat tone that sets it apart from its predecessor. Finlay feels distinct, offering a blend of rural charm and lurking darkness. The influence of Majora’s mythology adds a sinister layer, giving the game an atmosphere that’s both nostalgic and unsettling.
Gameplay stays true to the Ocarina of Time roots with a mix of exploration, combat, and puzzle-solving, but introduces new twists and settings that keep things feeling fresh.
